下去: keep on doing; 出来: recognize, come up with, produce

V + 下去 (continue) | V + 出(+O)+来 (recognize; produce; reveal)
V下去 means continuing an action already under way: 说下去 'go on', 坚持下去 'keep going'. V出来 means something emerges from hidden to visible or from nothing to something: 看出来/听出来 'recognize', 想出来 'come up with', 写出来 'write out'. Potential forms are very common: 看不出来 'can't tell', 坚持不下去 'can't keep going'. Remember: 想起来 = recall what was known; 想出来 = think up something new (办法, 主意).
HSK 4–5 gap fills; HSK 5 often features 看不出来, 说不出来.
