谁/什么/哪儿/怎么/什么时候 + 都/也 + (不/没) + V

Question words can lose their questioning sense and mean 'any-' when followed by 都/也: 谁都知道 'everyone knows', 我什么也不想吃 'I don't want to eat anything'. Common errors are omitting 都/也 or misplacing the question word. As an object, the question word must move before 都/也 and the verb: 他什么都吃 (not *他吃什么都). Negatives: 哪儿也没去, 谁都不认识.
