Are these real HSK / TOCFL papers?
No. Real papers (真题) are copyrighted by CTI (HSK, HSKK) and SC-TOP (TOCFL). Every Hanzi Pass test is a new simulation written to the official question types and reviewed by a Chinese teacher before publication.
Is it free?
You get one full test of each kind (HSK 1–6, HSKK, TOCFL), 10 practice questions per type, the whole HSK 1–2 vocabulary, unlimited dictionary look-ups and 3 AI-scored HSKK answers a day for free. Premium unlocks every test and unlimited practice.
What is the HSK pass mark?
HSK 1–2 are scored out of 200 and passed from 120; HSK 3–6 out of 300, passed from 180. Only the total counts — there is no minimum per section. HSKK is out of 100, passed from 60.
What changes with HSK 3.0, and when?
HSK 3.0 has nine levels and new word lists; the new HSK 1–6 is expected worldwide from the 13 December 2026 session, with a speaking part for HSK 3–6. Hanzi Pass prepares tests for both standards and updates as soon as CTI confirms the details.
How is TOCFL different from HSK?
TOCFL is Taiwan's Chinese proficiency test (SC-TOP), in traditional characters, with Bands A, B and C (levels 1–6). Each band has 50 listening and 50 reading questions, each skill scored 0–80. It is the usual certificate for studying or working in Taiwan.
