为了 + purpose，S + V… | S + V…，是为了 + purpose
为了 introduces the purpose of an action: 为了学好汉语，他每天看中国电视剧. The 为了 phrase usually comes first; to state the purpose afterwards, use 是为了: 我来中国是为了学中医. Don't confuse it with 因为: 因为 gives a cause (already existing), 为了 a goal (to be achieved). *为了我生病了 is wrong.
HSK 3–4 gap fills, often with 因为 as a distractor.

To learn Chinese well, he watches Chinese TV dramas every day.
为了身体健康，我每天跑步。
I run every day to stay healthy.
我来中国是为了学习中医。
I came to China to study traditional Chinese medicine.
为了不迟到，他六点就起床了。
