V + 完/好/到/见/懂/错/对/会/住/走/掉 + (了) + O
A result complement attaches directly to the verb to show the outcome. Common ones: 完 (finish), 好 (done properly/ready), 到 (reach, achieve), 见 (perceive: 看见, 听见), 懂 (understand), 错 (wrong), 会 (master). 了 and the object come after the complement: 我看完了这本书. Negate with 没: 我没听懂 (not *不听懂). Learners often omit the complement — 我找了钥匙 only means 'I looked for the keys'; 'I found them' is 我找到钥匙了.
