A 跟 B 一样 says two things are the same; add an adjective after 一样 to say in what way: 他跟他哥哥一样高 'he's as tall as his brother'. Do not put 很 between 一样 and the adjective. The usual negative is A 跟 B 不一样. The phrase can modify a noun with 的: 我想买一件跟你一样的衣服. Note the order: 跟 + B comes first, then 一样 + adjective.
