Comparative: A is more … than B

HSK 2HSK 3.0 · 2

A + 比 + B + (更/还) + Adj (+ 一点儿/多了/得多/quantity)

The order is A 比 B + adjective. Do not put 很, 非常, 太 or 真 before the adjective in a 比 sentence (*他比我很高); to express degree, use 更/还 before the adjective, or 一点儿, 多了, 得多, or an exact amount after it: 他比我高五公分. 比 also works with verb + 得: 他跑得比我快. The usual negative is A 没有 B (那么) + Adj; 不比 means 'not more than' (possibly equal).
