在 + (person/thing) + 的 + 帮助/影响/支持/指导/情况/条件/压力 + 下，…
在…下 states the condition or influence behind the result in the main clause: 在老师的帮助下，我的汉语进步得很快. The noun in the middle is usually 帮助, 影响, 支持, 指导, 鼓励, 情况, 条件 or 压力. Learners often forget the final 下 or use 中/里 instead. The phrase usually opens the sentence.
HSK 5 gap fills; very useful in writing.
