TOCFL Band A · Reading · questions 46–50
Part 5 (questions 46–50): six sentences A–F are shared by five questions. Each question is a remark or a question; you match it with the right reply or follow-up. Each letter is used only once and one sentence is left over.

Tips
- Read the six sentences A–F first and sort them quickly: a greeting, thanks, an answer about time, place, a reason…
- Match by question word: 為什麼 → the sentence with 因為; 什麼時候 → the one with a time; 誰 → the one about a person; 怎麼了? → the one describing a problem (我頭痛).
- Do the easiest question first and cross out each letter you use; leave the hard ones for last, when fewer choices remain.
- Check that subjects and pronouns agree: if the question is about 你妹妹, the reply must use 她.
- Learn the Taiwanese social reply pairs: 謝謝你的幫忙 ↔ 不會啦; 好久不見 ↔ 對啊,你最近好嗎?; 不好意思,我遲到了 ↔ 沒關係,我也剛到.
Common traps
- Using one letter twice: each letter fits only one question. If two questions seem to fit the same letter, check which of them has another option.
- Matching because of a shared word: a reply that repeats a word from the question is not necessarily right — it has to answer it in meaning.
- Forgetting the extra sentence: one sentence is always left over, so do not force it onto the last question.
