Questions 11–12: each shows a picture and you talk about it for about 2 minutes (roughly 150–250 characters). Before the test there are 10 minutes of preparation shared by parts 2 and 3; you may make notes, but not read out a written script.

เคล็ดลับ

  • Split the 10 preparation minutes: about 3 minutes per picture and 3–4 minutes for the two part 3 questions. For each picture note keywords only, for five points: who (谁) – where, when (哪儿、什么时候) – doing what (做什么) – why (为什么) – feelings (觉得怎么样).
  • Describe actions with 正在……呢 and 一边……一边……: 她们正在厨房里做饭呢；他一边跑步一边听音乐. Describe objects with the existential place + V + 着 + thing: 桌子上放着很多书，门口停着一辆大车.
  • Describe looks and feelings with 看起来 / 好像: 他看起来非常着急；她好像发烧了. This is the safe way to talk about anything the picture does not make certain.
  • Use the frame 首先 → 然后 → 最后 or 先说……再说……: open with the setting (这张图片上是……), describe each person in the middle, and end with a guess (我想……) and a feeling (我觉得…… / 从这张图片可以看出……).
  • Manage the 2 minutes: setting ~20 s, people and actions ~60 s, guessed reason ~20 s, feelings ~20 s. With time left, add colours and clothes (穿着一条红裙子) or a piece of advice.
  • For several people use 有的……有的…… or 一位……另一位……; for one person, zoom in on details and guess the story behind the picture.

  • Only listing objects (有桌子、有椅子、有书……) with no actions, reasons or feelings — it sounds like an inventory and loses content points.
  • Using 一边……一边…… with an adjective or two different subjects: 一边累一边学习 is wrong → 她很累，可是还在学习.
  • Writing out a full script in the 10 minutes and reading it: there is not enough time, the delivery goes flat and fluency suffers. Note keywords only.
  • Adding 是 before adjectives and putting the place after the verb, Vietnamese-style: 他是很着急, 她做饭在厨房 → 他很着急, 她在厨房做饭.

周末的中午，妈妈在厨房里做饭，女儿站在旁边帮妈妈洗菜，桌子上已经放了两个菜。At noon on a weekend, a mother is cooking in the kitchen while her daughter stands beside her washing vegetables; two dishes are already on the table.

คำอธิบาย

The task is to talk for about two minutes about the picture with no guiding questions, so you must organise the ideas yourself. The model opens with the setting (周末、中午、厨房), then describes each person: the mother with 一边做菜一边教女儿, the daughter with 正在认真地帮妈妈洗菜. To fill the time naturally it adds visible details (桌子上已经放了两个菜) and reasonable guesses with 我想 / 可能 (爸爸可能马上就要下班回家了). 看起来又香又好吃 uses 看起来 for how something looks. It closes with 从这张图片可以看出…… and 不但……而且……, which rounds the answer off. The “good” answer is shorter but still covers all five points; the “excellent” one adds connectors and feelings.

The picture has little action, so the challenge is lasting two minutes. The model works in four layers: setting (大学的图书馆、晚上九点、天已经黑了), the main action (一边看书一边做作业), objects (桌子上放着很多书和一本词典) and state (看起来有点儿累). Only then come a guessed reason with 我想 and feelings with 我应该向她学习. Note that 一边……一边…… needs two simultaneous actions by the same subject; 一边累一边学习 is wrong because 累 is an adjective. A closing 只要……/一定能…… ends on a positive note, and 首先 / 然后 / 最后 make the structure clear to the examiner.
