Questions 1–5: each item shows one picture; you hear a single word or very short phrase (played twice) and mark ✓ if it matches the picture, ✗ if it does not. Nothing is printed except the picture, and each item takes only 10–15 seconds.

เคล็ดลับ
- Before the audio starts, name the picture in Chinese in your head: 🍎 → 苹果 píngguǒ, 🐱 → 猫 māo, 🚕 → 出租车 chūzūchē. Then you only have to compare, not translate.
- A picture usually has one focus: if you hear 看书 but the picture shows someone watching TV (看电视), the answer is ✗ even though both use 看. Listen to the whole phrase, not just the first syllable.
- Check quantities and numbers: hearing 三个杯子 under a picture of two cups means ✗. Keep 四 sì (4th tone) and 十 shí (2nd tone, retroflex) clearly apart.
- Use the first play to decide and the second to confirm. On the 网考 the next item starts automatically, so click ✓/✗ right after the second play.
- Review the word families that turn up as pictures: objects (杯子, 桌子, 椅子, 电脑, 衣服), animals (猫, 狗), transport (飞机, 出租车) and actions (喝茶, 睡觉, 打电话, 开车).
กับดักที่พบบ่อย
- Mishearing pairs Vietnamese speakers often confuse: 四 sì / 十 shí / 是 shì, 书 shū / 水 shuǐ, 茶 chá / 菜 cài. The Northern Vietnamese “s” makes sh easy to hear as s.
- “Almost right” pictures from the same topic: a dog picture with 猫 in the audio, a plane picture with 火车. The word is chosen to make you tick ✓ on instinct.
- Tone changes hide familiar words: 一 is read yí in 一个 yí ge and yì in 一本 yì běn; 不 is read bú in 不是 bú shì. They are still 一 and 不, not new words.
