Questions 31–35: longer dialogues (4–5 turns) followed by one question and three options. Played twice; information changes during the talk, so listen to the end.

- Plans often change midway: 本来想坐公共汽车，现在下雨了，我们打车吧。The answer is the final choice.
- Do simple time arithmetic: 电影七点开始，我们还有半个小时 → it is now 6:30. Jot the numbers on scrap paper (paper test) or work them out at once.
- Infer the relationship from forms of address and content: 服务员 / 先生 (restaurant), 老师 / 同学 (school), 丈夫 / 妻子 (family).
- Read the options first so you know whether to listen for a number, a place or a person.
អន្ទាក់ទូទៅ
- 已经 and 还没 are easy to miss: 我已经买了票 is the opposite of 我还没买票呢. The question 他买票了吗？ depends entirely on them.
- 两个小时 (two hours) and 两点 (two o'clock) both contain 两 — 多长时间 asks for a duration, 几点 for a point in time.
