Hi, I'd like to send these Chinese books to Hanoi, Vietnam. How many days will it take?
We have two options. The fast one gets there in three or four days and costs 120 yuan; the slow one takes about two weeks and costs only 40.
The books are for my younger brother. His term doesn't start until next month, so he's in no hurry.
Then there's plenty of time. You can choose the cheaper one.
OK, I'll send it the slow way, then.
Question: Which way of sending did the woman choose in the end?
Explanation
Step 1: the question asks “选了哪种寄法” (which way of sending), so keep both options in mind: the fast one, “三四天就能到,一百二十块”, and the slow one, “差不多要两个星期,只要四十块”. Step 2: the decision comes in the last line, “那就寄慢的吧” (I'll send it the slow way). Step 3: the key does not repeat “慢” but describes it by its price, so link “慢的” to “四十块” → C. A is the fast option, which she rejects because her brother is “不着急用” (in no hurry). B is wrong because she sends it now; “两个星期” is the delivery time. D reuses “下个月开学”, but that is when her brother's term starts, not a way of sending.
