Questions 16–25: hear a simple question (about you, your family, hobbies, habits…) and answer it straight away. Each question is played once and you have about 15 seconds. The 10 items are worth about 30 of 100 points; complete, relevant answers with clear pronunciation score high.

အကြံပြုချက်များ

  • Answer in a full sentence, reusing the question's words and replacing only the question word: 你家在哪儿？→ 我家在河内。 你有几个中国朋友？→ 我有两个中国朋友。
  • Identify the question type instantly: 吗 → reuse the verb (会 / 不会, 有 / 没有); 还是 → pick one option; A-not-A (忙不忙、难不难) → answer one side; 什么 / 哪儿 / 几 / 谁 → fill exactly that slot.
  • Swap pronouns when you reuse the question: 你 → 我, 你的 → 我的, 你们 → 我们. Forgetting this is the most common way to lose points.
  • For a higher score add one short, safe sentence: a reason (因为……), a time, a feeling. Example: 我会做饭，我常常做越南菜。 You don't need long, complex sentences.
  • Catch time words: 昨天 / 上次 → verb + 了 or 过; 一般 / 每天 → habits; 多长时间 asks “how long” (二十分钟), not “what time”.
  • You don't have to tell the truth: give the answer you can say most accurately (forget the dish? say 面条; forget the job? say 老师).

  • Vietnamese word order: “我吃饭在公司” ✗ → 我在公司吃饭 ✓. Time and place come before the verb.
  • 不 vs 没: the negative of 有 is always 没有 (never 不有); finished events take 没 (我昨天没去), habits and wishes take 不 (我不喜欢).
  • Using 二 before a measure word: say 两个、两杯、两年, not 二个.
  • One-word answers (“越南。”, “会。”): the meaning is right but you lose points because it is not a sentence.

This is a question-word question with 哪 (nǎ, which): 哪国人 means “a person from which country”. The safest answer keeps the question and replaces only the question word: 你是哪国人？→ 我是越南人。 Don't just say “越南” — a one-word reply has the right meaning but loses points because it is not a sentence. If you have time left, add one short, safe sentence such as 我家在河内. Watch the sounds: 是 (shì) is retroflex, 人 (rén) rises and ends in -n, and 越南 (Yuènán) is said in Chinese, not as “Việt Nam”.

A yes/no question with 吗: there is no question word, so the answer reuses the main verb 会 (can, know how to). Chinese has no all-purpose “yes/no” here: answer 我会…… or 我不会…… and repeat the rest, 说汉语. Adding 一点儿 (a little) sounds natural and modest: 我会说一点儿汉语. The “excellent” answer adds how long you have studied with 已经……了. Note that 一点儿 is said yìdiǎnr (一 before a third tone becomes a fourth tone) and 说 (shuō) is a retroflex sh.

A choice question with 还是 (or): the speaker offers two options, 夏天 (summer) and 冬天 (winter). Just pick one and say the whole sentence: 我喜欢冬天. Don't answer 都喜欢 or 是 — the examiner wants a clear, complete sentence. For an “excellent” answer, add a reason with 因为, using only words you are sure of. Watch the sounds: 夏 (xià), and 还是 (háishi) — 还 is read hái here, not huán; 冬天 (dōngtiān) ends in -ng then -an.
