TOCFL Band A · Menyimak · soal 16–25

Tips
- Skim the four options before the audio: if they are times, the question has 幾點/什麼時候; if they are 好啊/不用了, it is an invitation or an offer.
- Questions with 嗎 or the forms 有沒有/是不是/要不要 are usually answered with the same verb: 你要不要喝茶? → 好,謝謝/不用了,謝謝. A 還是 question (A or B) asks you to pick one: 你要咖啡還是茶? → 茶,謝謝.
- Learn the Taiwanese reply pairs: 謝謝 → 不會/不客氣; 不好意思 → 沒關係; 麻煩你了 → 不會啦. Taiwanese speakers very often answer thanks with 不會, which does not mean “I can't”.
- Watch the tense of the question: 你昨天去了嗎? is about the past, so the right reply is 去了/沒去, not 不去; 你去過台南嗎? is answered with 去過/沒去過.
- If you hear a statement rather than a question (我頭好痛。), choose the most natural reaction, such as 你要不要去看醫生?, not a reply that merely repeats information.
Jebakan umum
- The echo trap: an option that repeats the exact words you heard is often wrong (the question is 你家在哪裡? and the option is 我家有四個人). The right reply answers the question word.
- Using 不 instead of 沒 for something in the past — a very common mistake for Vietnamese learners, since Vietnamese uses one word, “không”, for both.
- Taking 還好 as “very good”: it actually means “it's OK, not too bad”. 考試難嗎?—還好。 means the exam was not very hard.
