Tones change meaning: mā (妈 mother), mǎ (马 horse), mà (骂 to scold). Hear each tone, train your ear on words that differ only by tone, then say them and get every syllable scored by AI.
The four tones
Tone changes: two third tones in a row — the first becomes a second tone (你好 ní hǎo); 不 is bú before a fourth tone; 一 is yí before a fourth tone and yì before the others.
