Action: “把报纸上的新闻读给她听” (read the news from the paper to her) is exactly “给奶奶读新闻”. The reason is that grandma “看不清楚报纸上的字” (can’t read the print). Every part matches, so the statement is true. Don’t be distracted by “眼睛不太好”: it is the reason, not a contradiction.

This one needs a small inference: the speaker never says “he speaks two languages”. Clue 1: “他的越南话说得很好” (he speaks Vietnamese very well), so he speaks Vietnamese. Clue 2: he is “上海人” (from Shanghai) and in meetings he goes “一会儿说汉语，一会儿说越南话” (now Chinese, now Vietnamese), so he speaks Chinese too. Together they make the statement true. The pattern “一会儿A，一会儿B” (now A, now B) is common in listening texts.
